GG Wrap—An Innovative, Eco-Friendly New Way to Wrap Gifts Announced

GILBERT, Arizona – August 25, 2015 – A new, eco-friendly way to wrap gifts has just been announced. GG Wrap is a beautiful, reversible, and reusable gift wrap for any occasion. Save trees, save time, and save money with this innovative new product. If consumers wrapped three gifts over the holiday season using GG Wrap, the paper saved could cover 45,000 football fields. This versatile alternative to traditional wrapping paper has a stabilizing insert, which makes if different from other fabric wrapping options. It eliminates the need for a box and gives the gift a structured, tailored look and feel.

Project creator, Hethyre Baez, says she was inspired by guillt to create a sustainable gift wrap alternative after throwing out three large garbage bags full of “Christmas aftermath” about five years ago.

After doing some research, Baez learned that the issue of wrapping paper as an environmental problem was larger than she had imagined. According to use-less-stuff.com, Americans throw away 25% more trash between Thanksgiving and New Year’s than any other time of year. The extra waste amounts to 25 million tons of garbage.

Each GG Wrap is reversible, offering two different looks. They can be used multiple times throughout the year, and for many years to come. One side can be used for a specific holiday such as Christmas, Hanukkah, and Valentine’s Day. The other side can be used for graduations, birthdays, and other events or occasions. However, befoe everyone can use this new gift wrap, GG Wrap needs funds. That’s why they launched this Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this project is to raise $15,000 by September 26, 2015. The funds raised will go towards production and manufacturing.

To help bring this eco-friendly wrapping solution to life, please visit the Kickstarter campaign or click here. Perks include receiving the first run of GG Wraps and will be delivered by December 2015.

Kickstarter is an “all-or-nothing” fundraising platform, which means if the campaign does not reach the funding goal then the project cannot move forward. So know that any amount given can make a difference, and this is an incredible opportunity to be part of an environmental solution to holiday and consumer waste.
