It produces over 30 hours of brilliant light, is waterproof and has a built-in phone charger so you’ll always be prepared wherever and whenever you may need it.

There are 1.3 billion people across the globe that live everyday without access to electricity in their homes (IEA Energy Access Database, 2014). An additional 1 billion people depend on unreliable power supplies. Increasingly, these communities rely on cell phones for communication, weather updates, and mobile payments. For us, this innovative piece of technology is more than just a modern convenience, it is about addressing a significant global issue.

When you support our Kickstarter campaign you can help us light villages in several undeveloped regions of Nicaragua in partnership with the non-profit Fabretto. It is our goal to make the next generation of the Shine even more affordable and accessible to energy poor communities across the globe.
