Moboline, The cheapest and easiest way to make international calls – call anyone, anywhere in the world, even if the recipient is on a landline

Moboline

Migrants and international travelers are increasing in numbers every year. For these people, calling home is always an issue. Calling cards are expensive and prohibitive while VoIP calling apps rely on an internet connection.

With Moboline, you can call anyone, anywhere in the world, often times for completely free — even if the recipient is on a landline. How do we do this? First, we cut out the middle man and provide our users with wholesale call prices. Second, we aren’t network exclusive: we use a mixture of VoIP and traditional telephone lines to get the best quality at reduced rates. The more users we get, the cheaper the cost for everyone in the Moboline community!

We’ve finished development of our Android app, and released it in Google Play. We are currently acquiring strategic partners to improve our service while also running a beta test with 300 users.

Read on to see what’s in store for the future!

While abroad, whether temporarily or permanently, people want to keep in touch with friends and family back home or across international borders, but often find this prohibitively expensive to do with their service providers.

To combat high international calling costs, migrants and travelers have turned to calling cards. The process of going to a retail store to pick one up is not only time consuming and arduous, especially in a new country you’re unfamiliar with, but it really isn’t that less expensive.

No one wants to make a trip to the one store in town that sells calling cards multiple times a month, take the time to set it up, enter the pin number — it’s simply an antiquated system that needs to end.

“Free” VoIP/Internet calling apps have increased in popularity over the past few years, but even they still pose price and utility restrictions. Calls are only free in certain countries, but really expensive in others, and most importantly: calls can only be made over an internet connection with these services.

Moboline is an OTT (over the top) service which allows users to make international calls at a fraction of the cost as traditional phone plans, calling cards, and even VoIP service providers. We can connect our customers from any country, to any country in the world at a price that encourages conversation.

Moboline takes advantage of both internet and legacy telephone system technology to provide a flexible way for users to make telephone calls. All of our underlying systems, including admin, are cloud based, making exponential growth both controllable and cost effective.

Call any number for free — even without an internet connection — whether a landline or mobile!

Never worry about international tariffs or roaming charges again.

Subscription choices are available for even better value. Moboline works with your cellular network even when your internet is not working — it’s your choice. Whichever option you choose, our aim is simply to provide the best international calling experience.

Meet Teresa and Mark.

Teresa Vegas is a 26-year-old native Mexican. She moved with her husband to California to find work, eventually settling on a farm where her and husband make a combined $65 a day. After expenses, money is tight. But she has two children back in Mexico that she left with her parents and needs to call them often. AT&T, her phone service provider, has a plan called Viva Mexico which starts at $54.99 per month, but she can’t afford it. Teresa also can’t use a VoIP only services like Whatsapp, Messenger, or Viber, because her home state of Oaxaca has very poor internet service. Besides, the data plan she’d be required to pay for in order to make VoIP apps work on her end are more than the price of a Moboline subscription. For just $15 a month, Teresa uses Moboline to keep in touch with her kids and parents and never has to worry about internet connection, running out of minutes, or entering a pin number.

Mark Watson is going on holiday to Spain. While there, he needs to make a few calls home to keep in touch with an ongoing business issue. However, he doesn’t want to pay the $1.50 per minute roaming charges from his service provider — that would be $90 for 60 minutes of calling! Instead, Mark simply downloads Moboline and gets that bill down to around $10, freeing up his spending and allowing him more time and freedom on his vacation.

Moboline is fully developed and available for free download from the Google Play store. We’re currently running a beta test with 300 users.

At the same time, we’re working on a number of updates including:

We have lined up strategic partners including a tech company in the UK where we’re based, a development company in India, and networking partnerships to help with inboard calling.

Moboline is more than a singular app — we are a group of products centered around a common theme: making common services for migrants and travelers easier and more cost effective. In the future, we will create related services like mobile top-up, money transfer, and more.

Make sure to request access to the business plan tab of this profile for more details!

Robert personally designed the Moboline app before contracting a team in India to build it. He used to sell international calling cards from a distribution shop where he learned first hand how difficult it can be for migrants and travelers to keep in touch with loved ones abroad. Robert has also held an executive level position at Synergy & Technology Group PLC and served as a strategic business development consultant for Pulmobiotech Limited.
