6 Degrees of Kindness Passport
The story of the project
With your help, I want to teach as many children as possible the power of kindness, and show them just how far just one good deed can travel and how it can impact on so many people’s lives.
I have spent the last year working on an idea that draws on my skills as a graphic designer and aims right to the heart of the future – our children.
6 Degrees of Kindness is a project based on the theories that kindness starts with one single person and there is only six degrees of separation between anyone in the world.
As Primary school is the most impressionable age for children, it is the perfect age to show them that even in today’s world with so much attention given to academic and sporting achievements that kindness is important too. Not only showing them how their actions – both big and small – can make a difference to the lives of others, but also how rewarding being kind can be for them too.
Research has proven that kindness can help children develop a sense of pride, raise their self-esteem, increase general happiness and better their friendship skills.

The 6 Degrees of Kindness Kit contains a 12 page passport, instructions, 8 page activity booklet, stickers, ambassador card with unique passport codes and plastic pocket and works in conjunction with a custom built website that tracks the journey of each individual passport through every point of contact.
The child decorates their passport and chooses one act of kindness they can do for someone – anyone. The new owner is then encouraged to pay it forward with another act of kindness and continue to pass it on. Simple instructions guide each recipient to go online and record their experience.

Online our little Kindness Ambassadors get to see exactly how far their act of kindness has traveled, whether it’s across cities, across countries, or even continents! The passport once activated will stay live on the website for a minimum of one year.
We will be delivering all orders by the first week in November to coincide with World Kindness Day on November 13th… and of course in plenty of time for Christmas if you are buying them as gifts.
I would love this project to be in every Primary School across Australia and with your help in getting 6 Degrees of Kindness up and running then this is the direction I will be focusing on in the future.
Please take a look at our rewards on offer, every pledge takes us one step closer to creating a kinder community.
