POWER OF COLLABORATION Global Summit Seeks to Achieve Inclusive and Sustainable Economies; Impact Leadership 21 Gathers Leaders on February 29 at the United Nations

New York, NY, January 25, 2016 — IMPACT Leadership 21 presents the third annual Power of Collaboration Global Summit on Monday, Feb. 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. The one-day summit features keynotes and panel discussions in support of the United Nations Agenda 2030 on how action and collaboration have the power and ability to transform innovative ideas into explosive catalysts.  In addition to hundreds of attendees including country leaders, diplomats, corporate CEOs and business executives, civil society leaders, scholars, youth and academia, the summit will be live-streamed to millions via UN Web TV.

Featured speakers include Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, former UN Under-Secretary-General, Tereza Nemessanyi, entrepreneur-in-residence at Microsoft, and Dr. Jan Svejnar, James T. Shotwell,  professor of Global Political Economy and director of Center on Global Economic Governance at Columbia University. Panel topics include The Future of Tech and Innovation Economy; Inclusive Economies: Why ‘Business as Usual’ is Not Sustainable; and Conversations with Men: Accelerating the Role of Women in Peace, Safety and Security for Sustainable Economies.” The Summit is being presented together with the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations and the Foundation for the Support of the United Nations (FSUN), in partnership with Microsoft and IBM.

Salazar, CEO and co-founder of IMPACT Leadership 21,Participants at the Summit will discuss actionable steps for businesses to accelerate the United Nations Agenda 2030 – sustainable development goals which include significant workplace and economic growth, affordable clean energy, education, gender equality, peace, justice and strong institutions.” Agenda 2030 was adopted by 193 member countries of the United Nations.

With the 2016 theme of “Turning Conversations Into Action: Accelerating Partnerships Toward Inclusive and Sustainable Economies,” the Power of Collaboration Summit will serve as an intellectual haven for driving actionable, innovative and collaborative strategies and tactics.  The diverse range of speakers and moderators includes Tony Tenicela, global leader of Workforce Diversity and LGBT Markets at IBM, Tereza Nemessanyi, entrepreneur-in-residence at Microsoft, Ambassador Edita Hrda, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations, Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, former UN Under-Secretary-General, Ambassador Elizabeth Flores-Flake, Permanent Representative of Honduras to the United Nations, Dr. Jan Svejnar, professor of Global Political Economy at Columbia University, Shalini Vadhera, founder and CEO of Power Beauty Living and author of Passport To Beauty, Kunal Sood, founder and curator of NOVUS, Tatyana Kanzaveli CEO and founder of Open Health Network, Danielle Butan, executive director of Afya Foundation, and Twyla Garrett, CEO and President of Investment Management Enterprise, Inc.  Vincent Molinari, CEO of Gate Global Impact, and Leslie Grossman, New York chair of Vistage International, will co-emcee the Summit.  Additional speakers will be announced.
